2002 Explorer with 4.0L SOHC. Wife is noticing a hestation/miss. I hooked up the Scanner and I get the following codes- P0340 Cam position sensor A Bank 1 malfunction & P1383 Cam position timing over retarded Bank 1. Does this sound like a sensor problem? Are the two related? I've looked over the threads with regard to the 5.0 engine with respect to the shaft noise/wear problem, but I assume since I have a 4.0L SOHC this may not be relavant.
By the way where is the sensor on my explorer? Thanks for any help.
