I have a lead on a 1999 2wd 5R55E that has been sitting for 5 years in a guys' garage... He pulled it out of the 1999 Explorer that had a SOHC engine that broke the timing chains but the tranny worked well when pulled...
I am tempted to buy it and change the vb and servos or I can get a newer tranny from a 2006 Ranger which is a 5R55E but i am concerned about the sensor differences between 99 and 06...
One is $200 w/64k; the other is $400 w/28k...
