97 explorer eddie baurer stuck in 4 high shift motor bad need to get out of four high. took shift motor off disengaged transfercase but front axle is still locked. can anyone tell me how to unlock front axle manuely?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmissions & transfer cases section. Did you manually turn the part that the shift motor turns?
