Hi All

need some help if possible.
think inlet manifold gaskets have gone(engine hunting at start) so going to change.
question is :- does anybody have pictures of the manifold fixing screw layout?
also i believe there are two types of gasket (paper & rubber)
engine is 4.0 sohc 1999.
was going to post attachment but will not let me?

thanks

tom

Hi. The inlet manifold comes in two parts, Upper and Lower. The Upper is held to the Lower via 8 #30 torx screws, the hardest to get being the rear two up at the firewall end. This post will show you what is needed. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=487634&postcount=33 The lower has 12 bolts and has 6 'o' ring rubber gaskets and the Upper has just two rubber ones. Hope that helps.
