I have intake manifold gaskets failing on a 2003 4.6L V8 with 97K miles. No evidence of a cracked intake manifold, but would you switch it out anyway to avoid another job later? Also, any votes as to the Dorman vs. OEM if replacing the manifold. I plan on doing gaskets and also plugs, belt, and throttle body cleaning while I'm there. Anything else that needs to be done while it's all stripped apart?

thanks!

Might as well do the thermostat too. The Dorman is perfectly fine, and you definitely want to replace the entire manifold if you are going through the trouble.

Change out the fuel vapor hoses and make sure the egr tube is not starting to build up with any gunk.
