Jumps out of 5th gear

Same problem as expressed in Medic-Holt`s post in 2010. After rebuild the trans pops out of 5th gear. It seems to go in 5th, but when you let out the clutch it pops out. Any thoughts ????

I can't say about a M5OD but when a standard trans wont stay in gear, it could be a bent fork, bad synchronizer or one that isn't assembled properly, or the teeth are badly worn.

Thanks for the reply. I found I had not put the 5th/reverse slider with the dot, facing the output shaft or rear of the trans, and with this reversed it will not allow 5th gear to stay in.
