Keyless entry

hi i got an 06 explorer just bought it and i don't know if the key less remote is only for open and closing doors, if i touch 2 times the close button the horn sounds i'm thinking the car is secure but last night i left the windows down and closed the door activating the horn waited about an hour and let my self in the car like if i was gonna steal it, nothing happened so if its some kind of programming let me know thanks!

the horn means it's locked. the only factory anti-theft is the passive chipped key.
