Can anyone tell me the location of the Cabin Air Filter on a 3rd generation Explorer? Exactly how do you find it and how much does it cost?

Hmmm...I didn't know they had one.

I'm going to assume that it would over the blower behind the glove box, looking for tools as I type.
Ok so far you need a 8mm socket(which happens to have dissapeared) on a 1/4in drive. Got all but the last one in the far back right on the cover over the blower.
Looks to be some kind of OE charcoal filter.

Unless you have the hands of a 4'10" female, your going to want to take the metal support bracket on the left side off to be able to wiggle the box to get the rear 2screws.

Write more after I stop the bleeding on my knuckles, and get more coffee!

There isn't one. But u can install one check out the sticky in the modified section.
But I say you hold the record for bringing up the oldest thread.

You got me with it as well, on the old post thing. Guess I should have checked the date of the post first.
