Hey Guys,
First good snow fall in Wisconsin this year and it was the first time I ever used a 4wd vehicle in the snow. I was a little nervous using it on the slick roads since all I ever had was 2wd rear drive vehicles. I didn't use the 4wd at first and the rear was a little loose with the crappy tires but the next day I locked in he hubs and pushed the button and went to town with no problems. Big difference using 4wd. Even with the crappy tires it was sure-footed and the rear was not loose. even down shifting wasn't a problem with the rear breaking loose. I going to get some Firestone Winterforce tires tomorrow and looking forward to what winter has to offer up this year! It's nice driving on snow covered roads without having to worry about the back end trying to pass me by.
By the way, this spring I plan on selling the explorer. It's fun to drive but I like bigger vehicles. Something I can actually get into without difficultly. I currently have my 88 Ramcharger for sale.
