Hey great forum here, this is my first post.
I just bought a 93 Ranger with the m5od, Ive noticed a noise while down shifting and keeping the clutch in, like letting the truck speed slow down when coming to a stop, if you put the gear selector into the next lower gear and further (mostly 3rd and 2nd) with the clutch in, it makes a rattling noise until you either put a load on the transmission ie let the clutch back out or the tranny come to a complete stop, also putting it in neutral stops the noise. Its shifts very smooth, no craziness from the clutch, no vibrations, just the noise, Im going to change the fluid and see if it helps but didn't know if anyone had some insight. Thanks
