Mach audio head unit replacement

I am sure this has been addressed many times but I have searched and did not find the info so any help would be appreciated. I am going to replace the stock dual media Mach Audio head unit in my wife's 2000 Eddie Bauer. My question is will the stock subwoofer still function or will there be additional wiring I will have to do to make it work?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a thread I replied to in January the title is;

Is it possible to use the factory sub amp with an aftermarket HU with line-level outp

I don't know how to attach the thread. However, I added the whole line to the search window and the thread came up.
