Is the Steel line closest to the firewall for the Front brakes or is the front line for the front brakes?

So no one has any idea how to take off the Hose Retaining clip? I heard that the Steel lines have to come off first?

If you are just replacing the master cylinder, and you haven't introduced air into the system, you should be able to just disconnect the lines at the MC, bench bleed the new one, and install it. Perhaps I'm not clear on what your problem is.

Done. I was replacing the Brake hoses in the front. I was thinking of taking the correct Steel line off the mater and screw in a Master Bleeding hose to keep the Master from emptying while the hoses are being changed. I just did it the easy way and wedged a chunk of wood between the front seat and the brake pedal to hold the pedal down. That keeps the master from draining.

Thanks for responding
