Messed up lights

i have a 98 explorer and the drivers brake light won't turn on the tail light works and the other brakes lights work the bulb isn't burned but it won't work? please help

First check fuses. I think each side is on a seperate fuse. Use a test light to see if you have power to the light socket. If not you may have a broken wire or bad connection. Try the hazard lights. What happens?:navajo:

look under the back by the bumper there is a connector back there for all the lights,, could be lacking in connection, , test it with a meter , if it tests okay , than clean and reinstall,

I just mentioned the test light because they are cheep, easy to see and use. Its A little warmer down here in Florida corkey. I'll send you some heat if you got a big enough box.
