My 2002 Explorer is not running.

i have an 02 ford explorer. I was driving it oe day, put gas in, then it sounded like it back fired and then die. no power at all i was thinking the ecu. any ideas.:exp:

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2002-2005 section. Do you hear the fuel pump prime or see the check engine light when you turn the key?

start at beginning, got spark? got fuel? got compression? check timing.

The fuel pump is not turning on and all the lights on dash work even the check engine light. but the truck wont turn over with key and wont start when u jump the starter. Do you know where the fusible link(and not the one under the dash) Dealership said an electrical problem but dont know where to start. PLEASE HELP

Check the starter. It sounds like it's bad.

Thank u for everyone for all of the suggestions> I finally got my truck running so happy and excited. It was a faulty wire under the hood by the firewall on the passenger side of the truck. AGAIN THANKS GUYS!!!
