Mysterious Clunk

Owner of a 98 Mountaineer with 189k miles, just had the Transmisson rebuilt and now I'm getting a clunk when I go over speed bumps or hit any kind of bump at all, also hear the noise when I turn. didnt have the noise b4 this.

Going to take it back to the shop, but wanted to make sure it was somthing related to the work they did

Greasing the slip joint might solve the problem.

I had a clunk, like a u-joint needed replacing. Took it to a mechanic, he dropped the driveshaft, the u-joints were fine, so he greased the slip joint while the driveshaft was down. Clunk noise was gone.

Did the miss a transmission/tcase mounting bolt?
