Need help on Explorer 03 4x4 high always engaged

Hello…
I have a 2003 Explorer. The 4x4 high light is always on and 4x4 high drive is always engaged.
I can’t switch to other mode, when I pushed the other 4x4 mode button, nothing change.
I have this problem right after my dashboard removed to replace the AC evaporator.
Please help… Thanks.

Welcome aboard!!

Since this problem occurred after having the dash removed, my first thought would be a loose connection or something wasn't reconnected.

I have checked the cable connections and all are good.
Do you have any suggestion which connection that I have to focus on inside the dash?

Maybe check the connections on the 4x4 control module. Here is the location of the module: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3058260&postcount=191

Many have reported that simply connecting the battery cables has blown the module.
