hey im new here and ive got a 94 explorer. i was wondering if anyone here has put a carb 302 in theirs and if so what all it took to do. its a two wheel drive 4.0 automatic now. one of my biggest questions is will the trans bolt up? thanks for the help.

stock trans will not bolt up and you wouldnt want to use a a4ld anyway there garbage, the debate between carb and fuel injection is on going but best would be fuel injected. theres many write ups on here about doing the 302 swap

the reason i say carb is because i have a complete 302 coming out of my mustang that i want to put in the explorer. is there a suggested trans to use?

if you want a good transmission go with a t5 or c6 depends if you want good transmission just dont put chevy parts in your x

will a c6 bolt in or is there modification needed? and i would never put put chevy parts in my ford, it wouldnt be right. haha
