I have a 99 Explorer XLT that the brake lights worked fine. I went to pull a friends small trailer last night but his right rear light was out. My Explorer is equipped with a 4-prong trailer plug in, that has been on it since new. His trailer's right light was inoperative. He replaced his trailer bulb which lit up as if the brakes (on his right tailight of the trailer)were on. My brake lights then failed to work. Hoping I could deliver his trailer and they would start working, after unhooking the trailer. NOPE. Today, I replaced the brake bulbs and they still do not operate, including the light above the hatch. Please help me resolve my problem. Everything else works fine.
