Ok got a 2003 explorer 4.0L 4x4 with a 5R55W. The reverse planitary assembly and band had burned up so I replaced them. I got it all back together with no problems, also had bushings installed in the servo bores. Now everything is torqued to spec, also had to replace valve body gaskets. its all back together and fluid level is topped off while its hot. It stays in drive throughout the gear selection. I can tell its in drive while the selector says its in park cause when i start it up it clunks forward hard and catches on the parking paw. I think i can faintly hear the transmission try to go into reverse when i select it but it still drives forward. Also it will shift through all forward gears no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
