2001 Explorer Sport
Hi, I was wondering which one works best for offroading. I read somewhere that the OEM ones get in the way of serious offroading. However, the aftermarket ones come in black or chrome and don't match the grey trimmings of the 2001 Explorer Sport. If I bought the OEM ones, I'd reinforce the bottom of it with a long diamond plate. Ebay has an offer for about $145 shipped. The aftermarket ones cost $175 and up.

I'd like your recommendations on which one to buy and your experiences with them. My girlfriend is having trouble getting in and out, and I'm getting tired of having to shove her butt in :bounce: though the view is enjoyable =)

Thanks
Brian

The aftermarket ones are no better than the stock ones because they don't mount to the frame. Talk to CoryL or Extreme4x4 about having some rock sliders made. They may cost a little more but look and function great, plus you can paint them any color you want.
