I forgot, I have another idea on my charging system malfunction. I saw there is a 175A fuse along side the disribution box that the wire from the positive battery cable bolts to, and the cable from the alternator bolts to the other end. I checked the voltage on the studs and the one from the battery positive checked out 12.2 volts like the battery, but the other stud read nothing. Would this indicate this fuse is bad? Would the vehicle still run normally if this was the case?
I also still am curious about the 30a fuse in the box for the alternator having a nearly zero voltage reading as well. Any thoughts?
