I am getting a p0340 code. i believe it might be the camshaft sensor. 97 explorer xlt awd v8. anyone know exactly its location on the 5.0 v8 awd?

thank you. i located it. removed it n inside there was broken pieces of plastic. upon removal i noticed theres a metal u coming up from synchro a bit bent. should i also change the synchro? if i do how do i synchronize it with the special tool? any help would be appreciated.

I would replace both (sensor and syncro), unless you are willing to do the job twice.
