sorry if this is something that has been beat to death already but i did a search and did find some good info but thought i would clarify for my own peace of mind.

i have an 98 explorer 4.0 sohc with just over 100,000 miles that i am trying to get through state emissions. the guy at the station told me that it wouldnt pass because my MIL light was on so he ran the codes for me and came back with:
PO153 - O2 sensor circuit slow response (bank 2 sensor1)
PO430 - Catalyst system efficency below threshold (bank 2)

from what i have found in searching PO153 is a common code and that i should replace the O2 sensor which brings me to my questions. Would a bad O2 sensor also throw the second code or am i looking at 2 different problems? and second, is that O2 sensor easy to get to and replace. (i know now that it is the one on the driver side closest to the manifold. but it is 6:30 in the morning here and i havent been out to take a look at it yet)

any and all help would be great,
thanks in advance
