Not sure where to post this question so forgive me if this isn't an appropriate place. My question is, what is up with all these pop-ups??!! Is this normal? It's almost enough to make me leave the site.

I'm guessing they are advertisements that help to defray the cost of running the site.
You can take out an Elite Membership ($20) and then the problem will be solved and you'll have additional features.
