well i've looked at many threads for the problem i've had and dint really find any solid ansers.
SO.... i've heard people say that there problem started when the weather got cold same as me , first thing to check steering fluid well it looked o.k. . bearings and ball joint all fairly new. !!!!well one place to look the boot that goes over the Ujoint that goes into the Rack !!!!! yeah most of mine is gone and full of salt and sand due to the cold weather of course . I took some Industrial lube sprayed the poop out of it , in park turned the wheel left and right a few times and presto working great. This should only be a temp fix!!!! but for all you stressed explorer owners 95 and up take a look! hope it helps . sorry pic on the way....
