Power window is off the track. The motor turns, but the window doesn't move.

on a 2002 exlporer, is that possiable? The front power window on our explorer rolled down and will not go up, but I can hear the motor and relay running. Is there any kind of diagram showing the guts of the power window?

sounds like the window regulator went out.

the one on my 2004 f150 went out last week. (its been at least 100° every day last week) It was a plastic part where the cables attach that gave out. The motor still works, but since the cables are no longer attached, the glass doesn't move.
