- '99 Explorer V6 OHV 4x4
I have a 1999 Explorer V6 4x4 Auto.
I want to use 4x4. I'm driving, then stop (put neutral) set 4x4 high, drive again (everything good). stop (put neutral) set 4x4 Low, drive (everything good), then take 4x4 off (now is regular 4x2). If I want to set the 4x4 high and Low again, it does not work (specialy the 4x4 Low) I have to turn off the truck and turn it on again, then i will work.
It has to be that way, if i want to used 4x4 many times, i have to turn off the truck and then the 4x4 will work again??(set the 4x4 on and off witout turning off the truck)??
or it has to work as many times i want without turn the truck off??
What could be the reason for this.
