I or actually my brother needs help trying to get his truck to pass inspection.
Its a '96 Ranger, 3.0 5spd. He managed to get the codes that are showing up, they are:

p1443
Manufacturer Contrl.
Auxiliray emission
Controls

p0133
02 Sensor
CKT Slow Response
(Bank 1 sensor1)

p1131
Manufacturer Contrl.
Fuel air metering

From what I hear, the CEL light stays on.
Does anybody know what these codes mean, I am not familiar with these computers, my explorer is the OBDII, three digit.
Thanks for any help!

P1443 is fairly common on 95~97 Rangers. It is usually caused by split evap hoses or a bad Purge Flow Sensor. The PFS comes as part of a ~$100 assembly. The parts are by the canister which is near the DS headlight area.

The other two codes are for A/F mixture or O2 sensor problems. These could be from any number of sources or may be related to the P1443. I'd get the P1443 fixed first and see if it takes the other codes with it.

Thanks for your help, passed the info along to him, hopefully he will be able to finally get it fixed.

Darman, was he able to get it fixed? What was the solution? I have the same problem, please help.
