re program key with new ecu

can anyone help me have to change my ecu on my ford ranger edge 2003 v6 3.0

have pick up a ecu from a breaks yard of the internet and the number match the old unit

how do i program my key so the ecu recognize the transponder in the key

The programming requires a special tool like an NGS+ or WDS used at a Ford dealer. Some locksmiths may be able to do it also. They will need the truck with the new ECU and 2 PATS keys to do the programming.

Yes, the keys, PCM, and PATS module are all programmed to match. To change any of them requires the special tool.
