Rear 9"/CV Question

Couple quick questions.

I want to rotate my 9" up to keep the pinion out of the rocks. I know that I need a cv at the x-fer case end to do this though. I have a spare front shaft with a CV...can I use it that?

if you can get it to balance right on the new shaft. Id say talk to a local driveline shop.

If you want pinion protection why not get a pinion guard from great lakes offroad
