Rear Wheel Bearings

getting ready to do the rear wheel bearings for the first time, is it necessary to replace the whole hub or can I just replace the bearing? I'm cheep and don't like to replace things that still function correctly.

I replaced my rear bearings at least twice on one side and reused the hub.
I am at 173k miles

With a foot of snow coming tonight.....

When I did mine, I would remove the knuckle, take it to a shop with a press and have them do it, and then just replace it back.

the biggest pain was to put the e brake back together.
