What is the history of this vehicle? Has any work been done prior to the code, or did it just pop up?
P260F does not necessarily mean your PCM needs programmed and if you didn't swap PCMs, it is unlikely to need programmed. The code is related to emissions, an EVAP leak possibly, could be nothing more than your gas tank fill cap is off or loose, or a bad evap canister, or hose to it, or hole in the gas tank, the purge valve, pressure/vac sensor etc. Sometimes this code clears itself if it was doing some evap test when the vehicle was shut off, or you could try clearing it yourself, try disconnecting the battery for a minute, or use a scan tool as disconnecting the battery will not reset all codes.
I would NOT take it back to that dealer (maybe not ever, lol) if they want to reprogram your original PCM, if you didn't have a PCM swap done previously due to the original PCM failing, or try to put a tuned firmware on it and then got that fault. Their claim seems like either incompetence or a shady way to make more money for something that does not need done and that they probably won't even do... just gladly charge for it. What were the circumstances, was the vehicle in their custody for some other reason when the error started, or did you only self diagnose then call them to ask specifically if they could reprogram the PCM?
