Changing out the front rotors on my '01 Explorer Sport 4 wd, 4.0L which has 12 inch dia x 1.025 thick x 2.6 high rotors, and was wondering:

are the front disc rotors the same for:
2001 Explorer Sport 4 wheel drive/AWD
and
2001 Explorer Sport Trac 4 wheel drive/AWD?

reason being I found a deal on line for some:

AUTOSPECIALTY / KELSEY-HAYES AR8586
Front; 4/AWD; SPORT/SPORT TRAC - 24.5mm thick

and wonder if these will fit my Explorer "Sport" 4 wheel drive?

are these GOOD, BAD, or UGLY?

are Kelsey-Hayes any good? "Yea" or "Nay" what say ye?

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Yes, they will fit your 2001 4WD ST. RWD front rotors will not fit because of they have integrated hubs.
Sorry, can't comment on quality, no telling with "private label" parts. With shipping is it worth the risk?

To be safe, assume from the firewall forward. Just for future reference:
The 01-03 Sport has EXACTLY the same front end as the 2001-2005 Sport Trac .....NO difference.
They are totally different from the regular 4-door Explorer.

Many thanks for the fast and true answer, swshawaii!

Much appreciated.

BTW--I detect a reason why these are so inexpensive on line at Rock Auto--there's the innocuous "24.5" number in the sales listing.

Can only mean 24.5 MM, which equals 0.964 inch!

That's the minimum/discard thickness. :(

Methinks that's a bad thickness just to start out at!

Ya gets what ya pays for....

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better, and brakes are definitely not parts to cut corners on.
RA often has phenomenal deals on closeouts, IMO this is NOT one of them. Be safe and GL.
