I bought an intake kit from ifab.net and ever since i put it on i had spark knock. By running premium gas i could pretty much eliminate the problem. I was very frustrated by this. So i read the posts about this problem. I cleaned my iac and mas airflow sensor and it made no difference.
So the other day i decided to try cleaning my mass airflow sensor again. When i was reinstalling it i noticed the gasket was a p.o.s so i cleaned off both mateing surfaces and used rtv silicone between them.
NOW I have no more spark knock with regular gas. nothing at all. I couldn't believe it.
Just something you guys with pinging could try
