I'm thinking out loud and coming from the Ranger world. In the Ranger world, people would often swap a rear end from an explorer for multiple reasons. Within the next month I should have my first Sport Trac. In my Ranger (which I will be selling) I already have a rear end built to the specs that I desire, so common sense would say that I should be able to swap this rear end into the Sport Trac so I get the gears that I desire? I know that might not be the norm, but the rear end swap I can do myself. Re-gear, I have to pay someone. So it's only time and saves me some money! So my logic does work right? It's just one 8.8 for another 8.8.
