Stalling in Richmond, VA.

Hey fellow Ford drivers,
Recently my 01 Sport keeps stalling on me. It's not at every start up though. WHEN this happens, it will stall right after startup. I can restart no problem but then have to keep my foot on the gas to her running. Once my foot is released, she dies. Every time I've been able to keep it running after laying on the gas anywhere from a minute to 10. Today it took about half an hour and relentless starts. I'm told maybe the mass airflow sensor or maybe the idle control valve. ANY THOUGHTS??

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Clean the IAC solenoid valve.

I agree with Brooklyn...sounds like IAC valve. Try cleaning it first, but be aware this doesn't always work. I had to replace mine as it was too far gone and didn't respond to cleaning.

You could order an IAC valve from WWW.RockAuto.Com just in case the cleaning doesn't work. The vendor's section has a coupon code.
