Steering upgrade for second gen???

Are there any steering upgrades available for the second gen "X"? I'm looking to get rid of the failure prone tie rods... I'm attaching a photo - have no idea where I got it from... it seams it has tie rods with heim joints.

that looks good... pricey too. That would work great with the coilover up in the front.

The first pic you posted is of Fat Cat's old Ex. Don't remember who built the parts for him, but they used Chevy 1 ton TRE's. They proved to not be as strong as origionaly thought.
 






If the 1 ton TRES failed, it might have been a manufacturing error cauz those TREs are used on fulll hydro systems all the time with 37+ tires.
 












are we just talking about replacing the TREs with the ones from a chevy? that would require some form of a modification wouldn't it?
