Sorry Guys, I previously posted this with the wrong subject.
Hey Guys,
I recently purchased a 93 Eddie B 4x2 explorer from an Auction. Body was super clean as was the motor. After picking up my latest puchased I noticed a "clunk" noise from the pass front while going over medium to large bumps. It is definately a metal on metal type sound. The interesting thing is that when I apply the brakes the sound goes away (even over huge bumps). I can replicate the noise by moving the tie-rod back and forth. It feels like it is hitting the caliper or the end of it's travel (Joint). The Tie-rod seems to have a TON of play with little resistance.
The part that stumps me is the Braking part.
I took it to a local shop to make sure that it is safe to drive, and they found nothing wrong with it!!!
Please help!!!
