Tempature Gauge

My '92 4.0L tempature guage wanders below the line "N" (normal) line. So I replaced the thermostat with the called for 195 degree stat. Now it does the same thing except it fluctuates a little higher into the "N" zone and wanders as engine speed changes.
I'm baffled.
The engine runs perfect.
Could it be that the tempature guage sensor is driving me up a wall ?

As always THANX for the help.

Did anyone here an echo?

My temp. gauge has always read low. Approx. 6 stats later, it stills read low. I put a thermometer on my pipe and it always hangs around 195, so all is good.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Has anyone had a temp gauge read low and there really was a problem?
