OK Guys, first post for a new Explorer owner. I tried the search function and really didn't find the answer I was looking for.

I have a '94 with the towing package. I know about the wiring harness in the rear for the lights etc.

My question is this; Did Ford do anything to help the hookup of the electric brake controler? Is there any wiring in or under the dash that I can hook directly to?

Running new wiring is no big deal, I've done it more than a few times now, its just if the stuff is already there, I'd rather use that.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the site

I do not believe that ford put any accomidations for a trailer brake system. Bear in mind that the explorer may be capeable of pulling 5,000 pounds but the tranny sure doesnt like it.
