trailer hitch for a 98 Explorer

Does anyone know if this trailer hitch fits Explorer models with a 16" spare?

It's a U-haul model # 78166 and I could not find any info anywhere if it does or not so I was hoping if someone here has this model can they confirm if it will fit the 16" spare.

What size are you running on the spare? I believe stock size will fit with that receiver, I have the same one on my sport trac, and I still could have fit a 32" spare. Unless the 4 door explorer is significantly different (pretty sure it's not), you should be good to go.

It's the stock size spare - 255/70/16.

I have exactly the same question.

The hitch is cheap enough so I'm going to try it. I will report back in a few days.
