2010 Sport Trac Adrenalin
Hi there.
Got an id question. Got a 2010 Sport Trac Adrenalin. 4.6 engine. Sticker on the trans says AL2P-7000-BA A1 4.6 4x4. Number below that says A4321 240909 173o83 28. transfer case says torque on demand. Pretty sure it's a 6 speed all wheel drive but for the trans, some sites say it's a 6R60 and some say 6R80. How do I tell for sure ? Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow, Body off frame. That's impressive.
I'm pretty sure it's a 6R80. They were used for 2009-2010 models. 6R60 was used between 2007-2008. The P/N AL2P-7000-BA also comes up as a 6R80 but I'm not sure if the p/n align 100%. You could also look at the vehicle certification tag on the door (assuming you have a door) for the code under the TR field. 6=6R80, X=6R60.
Not sure how you can physically identify them from the case.

Hi. Yes I do have a code 6 on the door. I couldn't find anything definitive from that either. Seems to be a lot of confusion on the web on that style trans. Thanks for the input.
