I had a problem with my 95 exploer trans 4r55e, so I read all I could read till I felt confident then I rebuilt the trans and I bought a new asembled valve body. I got it all together, and it shifted like crap. It shifted at 5,000 rpm, I dove it up to the store a few times like that, then all of a sudden it was perfect, I couldnt even feel it shift the rpms wouldnt go over 2,000. it only worked for about a day, then it went right back to the way it was, 5,000 rpm and now you can feel it down shift real bad, I have no idea. my first thought is maybe the EPC. thanks
