Transmission Issues with no check engine light.

99 Ford Explorer. Sohc. 5r55e. Slips like someone is slipping a clutch. Does it in all gears. After drivin a couple minutes lost all forward/reverse. No real clunks. The couple times it shifted it seemed to switch fine. Transmission fluid looks decent. No check engine light no flashing overdrive on off light. Thinking possibly the torque converter?

If you can shut it off and let it sit for about 5 minutes and then restart and it will engage forward and reverse again it is a sign of a clogged filter.

The clogged filter is not your real problem it is with what has clogged the filter, something is making a lot of debris. The converter can do this.
