Hello,

Just thought I'd share some info.

20K ago (when I bought the beast) the dealer put new brake pads and turned the rotors. I have never been happy with the braking performance so after searching the site and going through all the brake related posts I decided to go with the Performance Friction Carbon/Metallic pads available from Autozone. With the pads, rotors, bearings and seals I ended up dropping $112.00.

I pulled the old pads with more than 50% left (side by side compare to new pads) and the rotors were within spec. So in theory the old brakes were still "good"

Right away I noticed a night and day difference in stopping performance. No longer do I have to stand on the pedal to get the slug to stop. Performance continued to improve as things seated in.

Not to start a great brake debate but I'd say these pads are well worth the $35 bucks.
