I own a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Dr 4x4. I noticed that my front tires are starting to make a howling/vibrating feel/noise. I also noticed that when I turn right it isn't as bad but when I turn left it gets worse. I rubbed my hand over the tires and noticed they are a little chopped up. Could that be causing this noise? I know that there isn't issues with ball joints or tie rods because I got those replaced. But I would appreciate any help with this. Thank you.

If you replaced the ball joints and tie rods, make sure they did a proper alignment.
If they did, get your tires re-balanced.

Normally if the noise goes away when a side is weighted then it's a wheel bearing. So in your case it would be the left wheel bearing thats the issue. Rotate the tires to be sure and if the noise still persists more than likely you'll need a wheel bearing.
