You'd probabaly be better off buying an aftermarket alarm/remote start. Ford likes to charge out the ass for things. If you have the alarm, there will be a "Theft" light on your gauge cluster. I know I have locked my door with the keyfob and reached through the window to unlock it. Talk about annoying.
My omega alarm cost about $100, my brother and cousin installed it on the weekend but it took a couple of hours. i also added the echo two way pager for $60, cool little toy comes in handy for when my alarm goes off and i am not in the area.
I have the theft light on my dash, it blinks and everything. is it possible that maybe a module is bad, or is there somewhere I can check on the truck for a code that says if i have an actual alarm?
