windshield wipers..what size?

When i purchased my XLT -02 2WD there where no wipers fitted on it..
i have just finished the work on the car and would like to buy new wipers
"both fron and rear.."
what size should i buy?
some says 20inch in front and 17 inch at the rear some say 22 inch in front..
please help...

I just put new wipers on my '02 XLT (4WD). 22" on the front (both sides) and 16" on the back.

Belive it or not. They vary by year model. Same cowl, windsheild and wiper arms though. 20" for 2002-2005, 22" for 2006-up. Either will work. And 16" rear.

ok so i took a tape measure to my whiper blades, my fronts are 20" and my rear whiper blade is 13"

COSTCO has a nice selection of Good Year wiper blades, in all sizes, at some $7/piece. Nice quality too. Oh, and they have a little booklet attached to the box that tells you exactly what size you need. I just bought a 16'' rear replacement for my '04 XLT and I'm happy with it.

Go to fordparts.com, input your VIN and browse to "Wiper and Washer" for size recommendations. My '02 XLT takes 22" both sides in the front and 16" rear.
