I have a 2000 Explorer, one day I was accelerating to merge onto the highway and the truck soundeed like it was thrown into neutral. It made no noises or jumping just reved up like it was in neutral. It will not go in any gear, I dropped the pan fluid was fine red no burnt smell, no real metal in pan just aliitle on the magnet very fine and very few. seem to be getting preasure from TC and pump. Changed filter and still nothing. any ideas would help!

You need to do a line and EPC pressure test.

Will a bad separator plate/gasket cause the tranny to not work in any gear?
