Ok, so I got a 1998 ford ranger step side extended cab, love that step side design, anyway, had to pull out some small rooted tree the other day, set it to 4wd low and eventually got them yanked out, took an hr or so however, I'm positive the 4wd engaged, however the issue I have is that it wont go back into 2wd. on my truck, it has a console switch or knob to select 2wd, 4wd low and 4wd high, and although the knob will select 2wd, the light is still on in 4wd low and it is most definitely in 4wd low. I don't know of any way to make it go back to 2wd and can use advise on that please.
